Page to be constructed after final planning of Nuclear sites has been approved. All that can be said at this moment of time is that the government has given the green light for energy providers to submit planning applications. The small print in a Bill going through parliament has saddled the UK population to a "millstone" of taxation which will persist for generations to come.

The consultation exercise, carried out previously, was a farce https://sth-se.diino.com/f.thompson/migrated_data/EandH .

Press anouncement   Thursday 30th April 2009

Energy companies have paid £400m for sites on which to build atomic power plants. A consortium of German owned E.ON and RWE npower have purchased 438 acres at Wylfa, Anglesey and 119 acres at Oldbury in Gloucestershire. EDF of France has obtained 493 acres at Bradwell in Essex. Since these sites already have planning approval for Nuclear use, new power plants can be constructed at any time in the future.

(author's comment -- from being a world leading power in nuclear energy (Calder Hall 1956) we have given all future rights to E.ON, RWE and EDF to develop our nuclear industry. We will not have a choice about who builds the next generation of reactors. )
